So the flow of old photos has started (thanks paddy), the oldest so far is our album cover from 1984. We now have archive albums for the 1980′s, 1990′s, 2000′s & Misc in the photo’s section. Have a look and if you have anymore to add or if you can identify someone, a place or a time please email us and we’ll happily update the relevant albums. Archives – 1980s We’ve started to post up the old classic results. We’ll have a page for each year, so if photos appear we can add them to a specific year. See the Results page. RacePix365 and Flickr
So the good people at Racepix365 have setup a sportsworld specific area for photos that are uploaded to Flickr with the tag ‘sportsworld’. If you have you own flickr account, just add the tag to your photos, and they will appear on this Sportsworld RacePix365 page. This page is also linked via the menu.
Photo's
We’re looking to fill out our back catalog of photo’s from the early dates of the club in the next two weeks. If you have photo prints hidden in albums under the stairs at home, we appreciate if you could dig them out, we’d scan them and return the original photos to you. So the process is – Place your photo’s into an envelope and maybe describe where/when the photographs were taken.- Give the envelope to michael cunningham or myself on any of the club evenings.- We’ll scan them and return them to you. If you have digital versions of the photographs, just attach them to an email to ‘info@sportsworld-terenure.ie’ and add the where/when details to the subject.
Contributing to the website
We’d like to encourage as many club members as possible to get involved with submitting articles for the website. So if you have any upcoming races at home or abroad then please feel free to email in a race report to the address below with any pictures for posting on the website. Race reports can be as short or as long as you like with possible pieces on the race, atmosphere, conditions, location, the journey, who ran/supported, results (personal bests) and any other anecdotes from the big day out!
